Textile Techniques

Angers
TALM-Angers delivers a Textile Techniques programme which ranges from the most traditional techniques – tapestry, lace, embroidery or weaving – to the very latest – e-textiles, futuristic fabrics, and all types of printing techniques – which students can then use in their own work. This option is proposed as part of the Art course and questions all forms of textile art in current art. It is one of the few programmes of its kind in France and is very different to the textile design courses in some French higher education art schools.
The Textile Techniques programme covers three bases: learning the fundamentals of first cycle creative studies; learning about textile techniques through meeting and visiting people from a wide network of professionals; introducing students to the techniques and practising some of them in the workshop and during work placements.
