Computational Design and Mechatronics aims to train designers immersed in the digital production methods that irrigate art, design and architecture. Sectors where it is now affordable to make objects and environments with automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, computer vision, cognitive science and the science of materials.
In this module, the use of a computer coupled with robots is the common denominator for experimentation, creation and innovation. In partnership with automated production laboratories and other European Master’s programmes, this module arms students to respond to the constant emergence of new careers generated by the emerging needs of different industries: art, design and architecture; engineering and construction; new materials; automotive, aeronautics and consumer products; transport and mobility; high technologies and processes.
