TALM’s Libraries
The three libraries of the TALM Art and Design School are hubs of student life and resources, typical of cultural higher education institutions. Each library campus continually updates its resources, stays abreast of the latest happenings in their school’s fields of expertise, and caters to student and staff needs. Our library managers curate, manage and promote resources that tie in with the school’s academic projects and local, national and international arts affairs. They help students and teaching staff with their research, and also provide basic and advanced training on document research and advice on personalised supervision methods, not to mention dealing with everyday enquiries.
The three TALM libraries belong to the BEAR network of art and design school libraries in France and Monaco. As well as promoting the libraries within its network, BEAR is dedicated to managing, training and expanding the BSAD, a database of art and design bibliographies which has scoured and circulated 200 journals since 1987 and more than 40,000 article summaries. The database also contains the theses of second-cycle (DNSEP) students <www.bsad.eu>.
