Students can shape all types of wood into any shape imaginable here. The workshop is split into two areas.
The first area is used for hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, sanders, files, saws, staplers, nailers, scissors and gouges. Students can also buy materials here: plywood, boards, cleats, joists, etc.
Open access for TALM staff and students only.
From 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday to Thursday.
From 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday.
The second area has a collection of specialist machines, including combination machines (planer, circular saw, spindle and mortiser), a band saw and mitre saw, a wood lathe and a sanding bench.
Supervised access for TALM students only, in the presence of the workshop supervisor.
From 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
