On Practice
Overview
On Practice aims to foster multidisciplinary reflection on the scopes and contexts that govern, frame, welcome or regulate an artist’s disciplines.
Research results
The RSVP Please be my guest Part II workshop on 9 and 10 November 2016 was the second part of a reflection exercise conducted by Tours and Angers students. The aim was to test what an invitation means in the field of art in a tangible and rather solemn way. The invitation, as opposed to a request, is the framework that sets the terms of collaboration between artists and a certain number of actors, belonging or not to the art world.
Connection to the curriculum
TALM-Tours and TALM-Angers students were involved in this research programme through the following seminars: On Practice/Manières de faire, façons d’agir (Ways of Doing, Ways of Being) (2016-2017 TALM-Angers), (co)produire art ((Co)-Producing Art) (TALM-Tours), Soucis de soi et pratiques de care (Self-care and Care Practices) (TALM-Angers 2017-2018), and the RSVP Please be my guest I and II workshops in 2016, and the 2017 research trip Documenta 14/Learning from Athens.
