Overview
Le Petit Tour #2 Grèce (The Little Greece Tour No. 2) research programme combines education and creation at the crossroads of film, photography, writing, political and social sciences. These student, artist and researcher projects consisted in travelling to several European locations where their territory’s definition unfurled.
Research results
After a study trip to Lesbos in 2017 and another to Athens in 2018, professors and students presented their artistic projects to partners, participants and a guest audience. The first presentation of the research phase Le Petit Tour #2 Grèce took place on:
- 8 February at Université Paris 7 with a film projection and a roundtable entitled “L’Europe: paysage ou territoire” (Europe: Landscape or Territory?) with sociologist Jean-François Bayart and art historian Céline Flécheux;
- 9 February with screenings of the films made during the research phase at Grands Voisins (Paris) followed by a discussion between members of Petit Tour Grèce, and director and activist Valérie Osouf on the theme: Filmer, représenter un paysage en crise (Filming, Presenting a Landscape in Crisis).
Connection to the curriculum
Student participation in the various research programme activities including research trips and presentations.
