Save Contemporary Outdoor Sculpture (SCOS)
Overview
The SCOS research programme aims to identify the main conservation and restoration issues for outdoor contemporary sculptures, and to develop a common documentation tool for conservators-restorers, administrators, and conservators to address the issue of heritage obsolescence.
Research results
Between 2017 and 2019, this research programme led to numerous site visits in German via project partners. Workshops and presentations also took place in the form of study days: Premiers Constats (First Findings), Partager la genèse (Sharing Origins), and a seminar.
Connection to the curriculum
The artists and future artists or TALM students were asked to contribute to reflection on the many issues this heritage raised. CBRC students participated in all activities organised as part of the research including conferences, site visits and workshops.
